Project – UNDP – GEF “Conservation of globally significant biodiversity and associated land and forest resources of the Western Tien-Shan to support sustainable livelihoods”
This project aims to create an information manual in the form of a book with illustrations on the Geological Heritage of Western Tien-Shan, Kyrgyzstan.
Within the framework of the project, material was collected on the geological heritage, including caves, ancient mine workings, aesthetic unique landscapes. The concept of the book is the preservation of the geological heritage in order to develop ecological tourism and preserve habitats for various species of endemic and rare fauna.
As a result, extensive material was collected, an overview of geological heritage sites was made in the form of a book in two languages. The book can be downloaded from the link:
