The Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute of the State Technical University has taken an important step in advancing modern geological education. As part of ongoing efforts to develop geoparks, preserve the geological environment, and promote sustainable regional development, new academic programs have been officially opened.<\/p>\n
Starting in September 2026, the Institute plans to launch training in the following areas:<\/p>\n
Master\u2019s Degree \u2014 Field 630100 \u201cApplied Geology,\u201d program \u201cGeoheritage and Geoparks of Mountainous Countries\u201d;<\/strong> The new programs will provide comprehensive training for highly qualified specialists capable of working in the fields of geoheritage research and conservation, geopark creation and management, development of geotourism, and implementation of sustainable and environmentally responsible natural resource practices.<\/p>\n With its unique mountainous landscapes and rich geological diversity, Kyrgyzstan offers a strong scientific and educational foundation for training a new generation of professionals.
