In March 2020, the 36th International Geological Congress will open in Delhi – the biggest global congress of geologists, held since 1878 in different countries. The Tian-Shan Geological Society plans the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation in this grand geological event. For scientists in Kyrgyzstan, this is a landmark event that will be held at the highest level, where Kyrgyzstan can declare itself. Participation in the congress is an opportunity to get lots of information about international research projects, the possibility to publicly speak from the tribunes of the congress about the problems and research conducted in Kyrgyzstan; these are new contacts and cooperation with leading scientists and advanced organizations in the field of Earth sciences.
